Nova Lisboa has been under heavily armed
mercenary control for the last week according to reports that have reached the
free press here in the Socialist Republic of Moçâmedes.
There have been significant arrivals at the
airbase outside Nova Lisboa from the bigoted fascist bastions to the south
including a knowledgeable observer quoted, “ one Piper Aztec, one each of
Cessna 172, Cessna 180 and Cessna 310, one Rockwell Turbocommander, one Mooney,
three F.27s, and one Alouette II have all landed in the last week and have been
painted flat green with UNITA markings”.
In addition, as we go to press we have heard that
C-130s and DC-4s of the South African Air Force are believed to have been
regular visitors to the airbase.
To combat this unwarranted aggression and
interference in the democratic process in Angola it is good to know that the ex
-Portuguese Air Force 2ª Região Aérea airbase outside Luanda has spontaneously joined the FAPLA freedom
fighters in their successful struggle against the CIA backed FNLA.
