An increased number of Russian agricultural
advisers with packing cases of agricultural parts have been observed travelling
on the newly built, with Chinese assistance, TAZARA railway from Dar es Salaam, via Zambia
and heading for Portugalia reports Colin Pierre from Kananga.
“It
was vague what crops they were intending to assist on developing when I
attempted to interview the Russians.
I made a joke about perhaps gun cotton and the atmosphere went very
cold.”
